Be happy

When I saw my friend's face, he was so sad and forlorn. The girl has always taken him for granted. He turned and asked me "Austin, what can I do to make her love me?"
I was stunned by the question, and I asked him what he has done to gain her love. He listed litany of things he has done, yet she wouldn't pick his calls and when she did, she would answer with cold voice and a tune filled with indifference. She wouldn't reply his text messages and would always give the excuse that she was always busy, but never busy to collect airtime, never busy to take free food.

When my friend had asked me the question and listed his efforts, I told him, "My dear, in this life two things exist, first, those who can love you, second, those who can't. No matter all we try in this life, someone who can't love you will never love you".

You know what? My friend asked me the solution and I answered back
"The simplest solution is to go your way and forget her. She was supposed to give you joy, but the thought of her now brings you sorrow because of her negligence towards you. Life is too short to be filled with people and objects that will make you unhappy. No one is worthy to remove your happiness from you. If you have feelings for her, then begin now to suppress it. Begin now to transfer it to another person who can love you. Often times we value those who do not value us, the earlier we learn to value those who value us, the happier we become in life."
My friend seemed to have gotten my message so he asked me how he could do that and I answered
"First of all begin to remove things that remind you of her. Delete her number, its necessary. Delete her pictures and if you wouldn't mind, unfriend her from Facebook. Free your mind from her, it won't be long till you get yourself free". My friend was so happy. But my greatest happiness was that it was helpful.
Don't allow anyone to make you sad or unhappy. You worth your happiness. No one should make you uncomfortable. Life is short to fill a better part of it with sadness. Always be happy.

From the altar

I was distracted when I saw her first during that morning mass. I couldn't concentrate because the beauty was ravishing. Of course I...
